Wow, how about you learn to spell and use American English
ReplyDeleteThat was rude and unnecessary! Maybe you should learn how to be polite and well mannered.
DeleteI'm with Diane. Get out of here, troll.
DeleteWow anonymous why don't you try being a bit more kind instead of so judgemental hiding behind an anonymous post and no photo to attack someone for their post. That's VERY RUDE.....
ReplyDeletethis is beautiful! It brought back memories of the wilderness cabin my brother Keenan (dec.) and I built off of the Indian Arm north of Deep Cove, British Columbia. We couldn't bring our selves to harm even one of those majestic wonders of nature. Of course our cabin could not be compared to this structure. Thank you for sharing the photo. You made my day a little brighter.
ReplyDeleteI want to live there ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for story and beautiful treehouse picture. Is this treehouse in California?
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused ~ the caption leads us to believe a history of this tree house, whether in England or California, will be provided. Queen Elizabeth visiting as a teenager is not exactly the history of the treehouse.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely dwelling, the one pictured, and we could all use such a place as an escape. How about an update with a real history, like how the builder came to decide on the location, locate materials and labor, challenges faced, etc.
Does the tree house that the Queen visited have a name so I can look it up? Now you have raised many questions in my head about tree houses because you really didn't say that much. I want to do research. Can you tell me where to find info on the one from the 16th century?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.pitchfordestate.com/tree-house.aspx is the treehouse that is mentioned in this story.
ReplyDeleteNice
ReplyDeleteI would love to know more about this particular tree house as every time I've seen the post I presumed it was a CGI. Anyone able to give firm info. I would be grateful. I always wanted one as a child :-) Thanks
ReplyDeleteFaceless/nameless idiot aka anonymous.U R Rude bastard.Maybe not the whole human race speeks your stupid american english? That person might be speeking more languages than U R.Look in the mirror before you put down others, with good intention!!
ReplyDeleteGosh... I thought this was supposed to be a nice post! Tis a shame some people are so obnoxious! Yes, Anon..... I taught school for 35 years. Her spelling is nothing compared to your weakness!
ReplyDeleteCome out of that 'hidden' closet and use a real name!
I believe the treehpuse that the queen visited was in Britain, pithford hall, as mentioned in the paragraph. I'm not sure. but on hgtv.com, they ha e a tv show called strange homes. history channel has a similar show as well.
ReplyDeleteI found the strange home tv show, on hgtv, but still looking for other one on history or h2, on hgtv its called .....home strange home, name of tv show. post when I find.
ReplyDeleteOk, found some of the tv shows on hgtv.com..... "You live in what", "extreme homes","home strange home". these ate all odd, unconventional homes.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thedailygreen.com/green-homes/strange-green-homes. this website has all kinds of strange, unusual, unconventional, really cool homes.
ReplyDeleteearthships is the name of the other tv shows. its really interesting. 100% self sufficient homes made of recyed materials. on hgtv & travel channel.com.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anonymous !! It would be nice to not read all the spelling mistakes and the misinformed
ReplyDelete"facts" of this story. I now have more questions than when I started. Too bad
I have read the post and oh my ... some altercation going on here, all I can say, its a great picture, spelling could have been ran through spell checker, yes I agree, as the world is reading it, but really, is it that important ??
ReplyDeleteHowever the title is misleading ... as it does not describe the history of tree houses ... which was my reason for clicking on the link, but hey, its not an issue, all good, love the web site, keep up the good work :)
One of my professors always said turn the page. Of this person does not give enough info why don't those who want more info turn the page. Go look for the info. that's why the internet is there. Give the guy credit. He at least have some info.
ReplyDeleteit's a start. Should have been constructive criticism. Just wait a while and it will get better. Practice makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra, for actually caring. A lot of the people on both sides have poor grammar, even books from famous writers have painfully poor grammar sometimes. And the author did give some history if you paid attention. He said that people used to make them to hide from predators, the post makes it evident that the history is not well known.
